Sydney Wenger is currently a junior at Liberty University studying Vocal Performance under Dr. Wayne Kompelien. During her time as an undergrad, Sydney has performed the roles of Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte and Countess Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro. She was the winner of the aria/concerto competition at Liberty and will be performing with the LU Symphony Orchestra in May. Sydney is a member of several choral ensembles including the Liberty University Chamber Singers, a premier performance group.   She is section leader for the First Presbyterian church choir and performed as a chorus member in Rivermont Presbyterian’s production of Elijah in February. She was a Virginia state winner at the National Association of Teachers of Singing in 2022, and her performing has earned her several awards and scholarships from PMEA and Liberty University. Before college, Sydney was extensively involved in the music program at her high school and was given several positions of leadership including Drum Major of the Marching Band and President of the Choristers.
