
Pianist, Conductor, Opera Vocal Coach, Composer and Painter. He was born in Sabinas, Coahuila, Mexico. He holds a Cum Laude Bachelor Degree in Piano from The University of Houston and a Masters Degree in Piano from The Manhattan School of Music, where he studied under the late Phillip Kawin. During his years in New York City he accompanied lessons for the Voice studio of the world famous Mezzo-Soprano Mignon Dunn and became one of the most sought after Opera Coaches in the New York City area. In 2006 he joined the Opéra National du Rhin as Assistant Music Director of “Les jeunes voix du Rhin” and played for several operatic productions for Opèra National du Rhin in Strasbourg, France. In 2008 he took the position of Music Director of OperAvenir, the Young Artist Program at Theater Basel, in Basel, Switzerland, as well as Korrepetitor and Conductor. In 2014 he took the position of Studienleiter and Conductor at Theater Bremen, in Bremen, Germany. He has since worked as Studienleiter at Luzerner Theater in Switzerland and Theater für Niedersachsen in Germany. He is an italian répertoire specialist and has collaborated with artists of international acclaim such as Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Mirella Freni, Sherrill Milnes, Anna Moffo, Teresa Berganza, Sir Thomas Allen, and many others. He is currently in the Music staff of Opera Hibernia in Northern Ireland and Softlyloud Music Consulting Artists. In the past has been part of the music staff of many international summer opera programs in Mexico, Italy, Belgium, Israel, Spain, Switzerland, Uk, Bulgaria and the Czech Republic. In 2006 he was awarded the Premio Nacional de la Juventud, Mexico´s prestigious national award for outstanding and accomplished young people. He has represented Mexico at United Nations forums and was chosen as one of the Distinguished citizens in his native Sabinas. Currently he is Head of Music Staff and Casting Advisor at Theater Bremen, in Germany. At age 11 he won his first Composition Competition with his piece “Ballet”. Since 2020 he is a founding member of Crescendo Softlyloud, an online platform for emerging singers. He is regularly invited to give Opera Masterclasses internationally. He is also a painter. In June 2021, he was commissioned by the Aspen Fringe Festival to write a stage piece which he called “The Lighthouse Fantasie”, based on music by Franz Schubert with original Vocal Lines to text from “To the Lighthouse” by Virginia Woolf.
