
Feihong Yu is a Chinese classically trained soprano and is currently a senior studying with Professor Mary Dunleavy at Manhattan School of Music. She performed the role of Zweite Dame in Die Zaubeflöte in Berlin last summer and also has performed in opera scenes including Roméo et Juliette(Juliette), La Traviata(Violetta), Lucia di Lammermoor (Lucia), I Capuleti e i Montecchi(Giulietta), and Cendrillon(Cendrillon). In May, Feihong will be performing the role of Drusilla in L’incoronazione di Poppea at Manhattan School of Music. She has won the second prize in the Voice Professional Group for American Virtuoso International Music Competition China Finals (2021), the first prize in the advanced division of the UK International Music Competition (2022), the second prize in the 4th France Music Competition(2022), the gold award and best vocalist special award in Best Classical Musicians Awards (2023), the silver prize in the professional division of the Golden Sound Award (2023). This summer, Feihong is excited to perform the role of Lucia in Lucia di Lammermoor in Sicily, Italy.
