The Danish mezzo soprano Diana Haugland studies with Armeen Dishtchekenian Rasmussen. She studied at the Southern Danish National Academy of Music in Esbjerg. In 2018 she finished her master’s degree with honors and received the Makwahrt Musiklegat.
Through the academy’s opera programme she has played various roles, including Orfeo (Gluck: Orfeo Ed Euridice), Hänsel (Humperdinck: Hänsel und Gretel), Octavian (Strauss: Der Rosenkavalier), Charlotte (Massenet: Werther), Mélisande (Debussy: Pelléas et Mélisande), Dorabella (Mozart: Cosí fan Tutte) and Blanche (Poulenc: Les Carmelites).
Her soloist concerts include the alto in Stabat Mater (Pergolesi), soprano in Fauré’s Requiem, the Mother in Elverskud (Niels W. Gade) and the alto in Rejoice in the Lamb (Britten).
She has also performed at various Danish festivals.
