Cindy-Lousie LeightonThis South African born artist is currently completing her BMus (Bachelor of Music) degree at the University of Pretoria. Cindy-Louise Leighton prides herself in working hard and putting in the hours to become the best version of herself she can possibly be.

She may only be twenty two, but she has already dedicated herself to music performance, along with other aspects of the field. Writing articles on her Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/MissyCindyL/), informing and educating the public about her musical passions and the world of opera, jazz and musical theatre is also a hobby and interests she pursues.

Starting classical vocal training at the age of sixteen she has accomplished what she has set out to do, including playing the role of Despina (Così fan Tutte) and The Sheperd Boy (Tosca).

Determination is what drives this young vocalist and “can’t” is not a word in her vocabulary. She may be young, but she knows what she wants to accomplish in life, and that is to entertain the audience.

Her main pursuit at the moment is attending the Mediterranean Opera Festival, where she will be playing the role of Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro), as well as participating in the choruses of Madama Butterfly and L’Elisir D’Amore. Future

“I constantly learn new things, for if I were perfect there would be no reason to live in a world that has so much knowledge to offer” – Cindy-Louise Leighton.
